Is there anything else to talk about?
Monday, June 8th, 2009I’m at that point where I’ve been on an airplane more in the last 5 months than I have in my life. And, I generally feel very safe, even though the last plane I was on had a complete computer failure, we had to deplane and start all over, but even still, I felt safe.
But, there have been 15 more bodies found in the Air France disaster and now there’s slideshows and video clips everywhere you look. I am not sure how they now have video clips of anything but the process of trying to recover bodies and as always that little black box.
My question comes as several pilots have made the statement that they did not know why any pilot would fly head on into a storm of that such. Many said they had been in a lot of directions trying to avoid the storm themselves and others had hovered waiting on it to pass so that they too wouldn’t be caught up in the disaster.
And, the pilot who said he saw what he believed to be 2 different spots of fire in the ocean. Fire, in the ocean? Is that not enough to cause alarm? I mean, you know, generally water and fire don’t go together too well so I wonder why it is that this pilot didn’t report this information earlier.
But, you know what, it’s all a matter of I wonder why……and that’s probably as good as it will ever get for most of us and for those who lost family, that’s probably going to haunt them for ever.
