How did you respond?
First of all, I cannot tear myself away form Michael Jackson news for some reason. And, as I watched the BET’s, I got the feeling that Janet was doing her best to say, we know you love him, and he loved you, just as you love the rest of us and we love you but the only person you knew to love was the man who performed on stage, we knew him as our family. I got the sinking feeling she was passively asking the world to back off and let the family grieve in pieces.
I mean, honestly can you imagine having the death of your loved one publicized so much and then when you try to plan a memorial service and you met with squalls of people wanting to bust into your service and try to get a glimpse of their pop icon.
Think about how you would feel. And, as most people have stated the whole frenzy could deserve some calming and not only that, the superstars should be able to grieve in pieces just as everyone else.
It is my understanding that in the beginning the memorial service was to be at Neverland Rance and that someone, not sure who axed that idea and the service has been moved to the Staples Center. And, the expectations are to see Liza Minella, Liz Taylor, Brooke Shield, Dianna Ross and so many others. So, if you were his family, or if this was you, what would you want the general public to do to make the whole situation easier on the family?
