Ohio Football Player, yea really
So, most folks don’t think of cheerleading as being that big of a sport. But, if you think for one minute that it is easy, go out and give those stunts and those flips a try. And, you know, go support a person’s entire body weight in the palm of your hands. And, beyond that, be comfortable enough to let someone hold you up in the air like that. The ground is a might 6 foot below in most cases and is not too terribly soft.
That doesn’t mean it’s going to be any softer for the actual football players but they are a lot closer to the ground when they do take a fall. But, now, now an Ohio State Cheerleader is taking his game on the field for the show, now the sidelines. Yes, he has suited up for spring drills having never played a single down in his life.
What? Why? He has performed at football games, basketball games, hockey and gymnastics and even swimming, but that performing involved basket tosses of the human kind. Tryouts for the football team took place on February 11 and Springer was sitting in a math class when he received a text from one of the assistant coaches informing him that he had indeed made the team.
He left class to call his parents right then. Yea, you got it, he made the team!
